Essential Bookkeeping Solutions

Meet The Founder

Dawn Brady

President & CEO

Born and raised in Clay County (Go Broncos!), Dawn Brady is proud to represent her local clients as well as those across North East Florida and beyond. Dawn specializes in corporate and small-business bookkeeping and performs the duties of CFO for many clients. She has over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.

Dawn founded EBS in 2008 and she understands that small business owners do not always have time to focus on their corporate accounting. EBS is the answer for businesses and non-profits because:

  • Many small business owners do not need a full-time bookkeeper, and this is where our services become essential.
  • Many small business owners try to accomplish bookkeeping tasks in their spare time or procrastinate until it’s tax time (and then pay a large bill to their CPA).
  • With Essential Bookkeeping Solutions (EBS), small business owners and non-profits can focus on their goals, rather than on their bookkeeping.

Dawn has been married for 25 years to her husband Jason. They have two adult children and four very cute puppers they’ve rescued over the years.

Our Mission

We exist to provide affordable bookkeeping and advisory options for small business owners across a large variety of industries. EBS is here to fill the gap so clients can focus on serving their customers and growing their business.

Community

We partner with V for Victory, a local community organization that exists to support local families affected by cancer. We host an annual fundraiser for them that goes to operational expenses. In 2021, EBS and our clients joined forces and raised over $10,000.

Core Values

We provide bookkeeping and advisory services as we stand by our core values of transparency, fairness, integrity, and doing the right thing for our family of clients. We strive to exceed client expectations.

Georgia is the glue (and heart) that holds EBS together! You will find her answering the phone, finding files nobody else can locate, laughing with clients, and stopping by everyone’s desk at just the right time with a piece of candy.

Sue Webster

Bookkeeper

With 25 years of bookkeeping experience, Sue is one of the newest members of the EBS team. She has jumped right in and we hardly remember a time when she wasn’t a part of the crew!

We Fondly Remember

In Memorium

Our team is like a family and we want to forever honor those we have worked with. They have each made our lives better in some way and for that, we are forever grateful.

Adelaida Norris

Adelaida Norris (Adel)

Adel had a passion for accounting and loved working with her clients:  North Jacksonville Community Development Corp (NJCDC), Jane Diloreto Insurance, New Hope Baptist, and Moody Appraisal Group.

We lost Adel to gastric cancer in 2017.  Donations in honor of Adel Norris can be made to the Gastric Cancer Foundation.

“Adel was a great accountant, wonderful co-worker and generous friend. She was EBS’s first teammate. She loved her gadgets, and she would try out all the new programs. She loved teaching and encouraging people. Her smile, laugh, and bubbly personality are missed just as much as her lightning, fast data entry skills, and her whip-smart accounting skills. I still miss her every single day.”

Jennifer Eccleston

Wife to Matt, mother of three children, and indulgent owner of a malti-poo named Harry, Jen had very little free time. If she DID find herself with extra time, however, she would spend it sewing clothes, quilting, and binging on BBC movies.

After a long battle with breast cancer, we lost Jen in 2019. Donations can be made in Jen’s honor at the American Cancer Society.

“I met Jen when I was 14 – that’s right just 10 years ago. She was the life of the party. You could hear her voice everywhere in the halls at school and her laughter was infectious.  Her family was the mirror image of mine – I’m the youngest of 5 with 9 years between my sister and myself and she’s the youngest of 5 with 9 years between herself and her brother. She had brothers and I had sisters.  She was from the North (queue her mother’s famous New York accent) and I was from the South. Fast forward a few years (or a few more), we reconnect at a reunion and find out we live only a few miles of each other. She became my sounding board, office organization wizard and rock. I was happily her taste tester. She loved to keep things in their place and helping people. She was a true treasure and I miss her every day.”
